Who is behind SiteCost?

SiteCost is maintained by Neaptide, a digital studio that provides SEO, visibility in AI answers, website development and AI implementation. The calculator is free to use. Project inquiry links lead to Neaptide, and Neaptide benefits when visitors request its services.

This relationship is part of how the tool works. SiteCost does not independently rank agencies or collect comparable quotes from a supplier marketplace. A freelancer, studio or agency result is a model scenario, not an offer from an identified provider.

What you can do here

  • Build an initial estimate from website type, design, technology and features.
  • Compare defined project examples and inspect the arithmetic.
  • Use the cost guides to identify missing work and prepare a shared brief.
  • Add operating expenses in the first-year budget planner.
  • Share an estimate link or generate a PDF to support a scoping discussion.

A real proposal still needs an agreed deliverable list, exclusions, responsibilities and price. The estimate helps you start that conversation.

How we treat numbers and evidence

The methodology publishes the formula, base values, multipliers and exclusions. SiteCost’s internal assumptions, Neaptide’s supplied starting prices and external provider information are described separately so they can be checked on their own terms.

Worked examples are labeled as model calculations. They are not customer invoices, case studies or a representative survey of the development market. Guidance links to provider documentation where relevant; those sources do not validate the model’s price inputs.

English is the source language for the cost guides and the existing article collection. Available article translations have their own URLs. Review dates describe an editorial review; the pricing model retains its own version date, and a newly reviewed explanation does not imply newly surveyed prices.

Corrections and project inquiries

Email hello@neaptide.ai to report a calculation issue, question a claim or discuss a project. For a correction, include the page address, the specific statement and any supporting source. For a calculation issue, include the selected options or estimate link without confidential material.

For a proposal, describe the goal, pages, content, integrations and timing. You can use the quote comparison checklist with any provider.

Privacy and measurement

Interactive estimates and PDF reports are calculated in your browser. A shared estimate URL contains the selected project options. Anyone with that link can read those options; keep confidential information out of it.

SiteCost uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page visits. The analytics bridge removes project configuration query parameters from pageview URLs and retains only a validated language parameter when present. When custom event collection is enabled, calculator actions are recorded with basic scope choices such as website type, design, technology, currency and feature count.

These custom events do not include your name, email address, telephone number or a written project brief. An inquiry link passes the chosen options and model estimate to Neaptide in its URL, with referral attribution. Clicking that link is an outbound visit, not a submitted inquiry.
